Micks Electric COVID-19 Policy

Surviving COVID-19

Mick's Electric has been serving Rapid City and surrounding communities since 1987.  We currently employ 28 employees, and are trying to keep business as usual.  Our employees, our community and the economy rely on businesses staying open.  Businesses can shut down for only so long and employees won't last long without income.  So we are trying to do our part by keeping employees working and healthy.

How are we doing that?  See below:

Customers - Please DO Not Schedule if you or anyone in your household is sick...in anyway!

Customers we ask you to consider the safety and health of our employees and their families.  If you or anyone in your household has been sick in anyway, please don't schedule.  Please wait until you are all in good health and then give us a call.

Employees - STAY HOME if ill in anyway!

For the safety and health of all of our employees, their families and our customers we request that employees not come to work if they or anyone in their household are sick in anyway, whether they have COVID-19 symptoms or other symptoms.

Practice Good Hygiene

  • Wash hands often with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use hand sanitizer when available.
  • Disinfect areas that are touched frequently.  Door knobs, light switches, tools, vehicles, pump handles, etc...
  • We have installed 3 sanitizer stations in our office, we ask all who enter to use it.
  • Employees sanitize before and after every job.
  • Gloves and masks are available and we will use upon customer request.
  • Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitize your hands immediately.
  • Open the windows regularly to ensure open ventilation.
  • Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.
  • If you find yourself coughing/sneezing on a regular basis, avoid close physical contact with your coworkers and take extra precautionary measures (such as requesting sick leave).

Social Distancing

  1. While on job sites try to keep 10' between you and others whenever possible.
  2. Don't make unnecessary trips to the office.  Call or text when you can.
  3. Staff meetings have been cancelled.
  4. Social distance in off-time.  We ask employees to also distance in their off time, stay home and away from others unless necessary.

Quarantine/Job-site shutdowns

In the event of possible exposure, employees will be sent home for self quarantine until we know if there has been actual exposure.  After confirmation from doctors all employees will be able to return to work.
